Position Summary 

The Career and Financial Stability Coach supports community members seeking to improve their financial well-being, career growth, and long-term economic stability.

The coach provides both walk-in and appointment-based services to individuals referred through the co-located Wells Fargo branch, PPL programs, and community partners. Services include financial literacy education, one-on-one financial coaching, career planning and employment support, workshop facilitation, and connections to community resources. 

✅What You’ll Do

Financial Coaching & Financial Capability Services

  • Provide one-on-one financial coaching to individuals seeking to improve financial health and stability
  • Assist participants in establishing financial goals and developing action plans 
  • Connect participants to appropriate financial products, community resources, and PPL services

Career Coaching & Economic Mobility Services

  • Assist participants with career exploration, career pathway planning, and employment goal setting
  • Support job seekers with resume development, interview preparation, job search strategies, and professional networking
  • Connect participants with training programs, credentialing opportunities, workforce development resources, and employer partners

Opportunity Hub Operations & Participant Engagement

  • Serve as a welcoming first point of contact for walk-in participants and individuals referred through the Wells Fargo branch and community partners
  • Conduct intake, assessment, and eligibility screenings as required

Workshop Facilitation & Community Engagement

  • Develop and facilitate workshops on money management, credit, and career readiness; and facilitate 2 Home Stretch Workshops per year
  • Collaborate with Wells Fargo representatives, community organizations, employers, and educational partners to provide relevant programming, including Wells Fargo’s “Hand’s-On Banking”
  • Represent PPL and the Community Opportunity Hub at community outreach events, resource fairs, and networking opportunities

Data Management & Program Reporting

  • Track participant outcomes, service delivery, referrals, and program performance metrics
  • Ensure compliance with grant requirements, funder expectations, and organizational policies

✅ What You Bring

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience providing career services, financial coaching, or coordinating community-based services for families
  • Obtain HUD Housing Counseling Certification within 90 days of employment
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle background check  

Minimum Technology Requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Experience using client management, case management, or database systems for documentation and reporting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Finance, Business, Counseling, Education, Public Administration, or a related field
  • Certified Financial Counselor (CFC), Financial Fitness Coach, HUD Housing Counseling Certification, or willingness to obtain relevant certifications
  • Experience facilitating workshops
  • Familiarity with Minneapolis community resources
