Job Summary
PPL is looking for a dedicated, people-person with strong communication and collaboration skills to join its Access Program, working with participants to gain or increase employment opportunities. This position will be responsible for providing employment services, including job/career readiness skills training, job placement, and job retention services through 1:1 coaching and workshop facilitation to support and achieve PPL’s mission. This role will require an individual who is rooted in the community to achieve real results with participants.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties are normal for this position. These duties are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.
Participant-Centered Job Placements
- Provide 1:1 job placement and retention services for participants, including monthly calls and/or face-to-face meetings.
- Assist participants with developing job readiness skills through 1:1, workshop, and online instruction.
- Manage an active caseload of approximately 45-60 participants.
- Readiness to work with both walk-in and enrolled participants, as needed.
- Work with internal and external partners to source job leads
- Provide support and direction to participants in setting and achieving career development goals.
- Provide guidance to participants on work-related issues.
- Create, refine, and teach career readiness and digital literacy curricula to be used in a self-paced, individualized setting, as well as curricula available for workshops.
- Conduct intakes, orientations, and/or informational sessions for potential participants.
Flexible and Team-Oriented
- Maintain strong internal partnerships, contribute to creative program design and direction, and provide regular program status updates.
- Meet regularly with other Access staff and Access supervisor to collaborate and to provide program updates and outcome reports.
- Network and collaborate with employer and community partners to identify and secure resources, critical information, training and employment opportunities for participants.
- Assist with marketing and recruitment services to promote PPL employment services.
- Support PPL work and mission through participation in volunteer opportunities, committees, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
Knowledgeable and Detail-Oriented
- Maintain appropriate data across multiple databases and documentation systems.
- Ensure secure data practices.
- Provide data and narratives to inform grant applications and funding, when applicable.
- Maintain accurate case notes for all participants.
- Assist in coordinating and implementing program changes, meetings, and events as needed.
- Maintain professional communication with participants, partners, and co-workers.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
- Strong desire to serve adults from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong facilitation skills.
- Strong knowledge of resume writing, cover letters, online interest/skills inventories, and job databases.
- Strong computer and database skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Google Drive, and Zoom.
- Ability to harness technology for efficiencies and participant opportunities
- Self-starter with strong time management and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as work collaboratively.
- Knowledge of community programs and resources for participants.

Education and Experience:
- BA/BS degree in a related field (additional experience may substitute for education).
- GCDF certification is strongly preferred but not required.
- 1-2 years of experience in employment services, non-profit, or other closely related field.
- Bilingual preferred but not required.
PPL's work structure has evolved into a Hybrid Model, balancing on-site presence at the office or satellite locations (60%) and remote work from home (40%). It's important to highlight that, particularly within the property management field, the flexibility in working hours and remote work options will be contingent upon the performance of each portfolio.
Salary: $22.00-$24.00 Hr., DOQ
