Project for Pride in Living, Inc. (PPL) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building the hope, assets, and self-reliance of individuals and families who have lower incomes by providing transformative affordable housing and career readiness services.

Job Summary

PPL is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Associate Director of Asset Management to support the stewardship of our real estate portfolio, which includes primarily low-income residential housing and some commercial properties. This role ensures the long-term value and sustainability of PPL’s real estate assets while aligning with our mission to strengthen communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the financial and physical performance of properties and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement asset management plans for each property.
  • Oversee insurance coverage, property tax classification, and manage claims and repairs.
  • Maintain compliance with funding and regulatory requirements.
  • Support real estate development transitions from construction to operations.
  • Analyze and implement new financing strategies for existing properties.
  • Maintain organized property records and ensure legal and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

  • Education: BA/BS in Real Estate Management, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Experience: 5–7 years in real estate, asset management, or related fields.
  • Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with affordable housing funding mechanisms (e.g., LIHTC, Section 8).
  • Proficiency in MS Office; Yardi experience highly desirable.
  • Valid Minnesota driver’s license and ability to travel to property sites.
