Job Summary:
The position is responsible for strategic leadership and oversight of day-to-day management, team functions and operation of PPL’s Family Services programs, with a strong emphasis on permanent supportive housing and the delivery of high quality supportive housing services.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee multiple family place-based sites for parents and youth to include community building, service delivery budget, staffing and coordination with Property Management and community partners.
· Cultivate partnerships with external organizations using a race equity lens to evaluate and expand the services available to PPL residents to augment services that PPL staff can offer. Develop Memorandums of Understanding with service partners annually or as needed.
· Assist with strategic planning needs of the department through involvement with Leadership and Property Management Teams.
· Hire, train and support direct reports and staff members to maintain quality within the program, encourage growth and development.
· Work in collaboration with staff on participant situations as appropriate. Review and consult regularly regarding service provision for participants. Model appropriate responses. Provide support and back up to staff as needed.
· Partner with Real Estate Development and Property Management on design, applications, community engagement, and lease-up of new housing projects.
· Work with Senior Director and Fundraising to produce proposals and reports for funders and stakeholders including HUD, MHFA, DHS, Counties, Medicaid, and philanthropic partners.
· Oversee evaluation tools for youth and parenting programming and partner with Volunteer Program for youth enrichment and family programming.
· Problem solve and coordinate responses to critical incidents involving safety, domestic violence, mental and chemical health.
· Assure that all interactions within and between Resident Services Department and other PPL functions are efficient and effective.

· Strong desire to serve people from diverse cultures, economic and social situations.
· Commitment to utilizing a trauma-informed and race equity lens in leading and decision-making.
· Ability to recognize and address mental health, chemical dependency and other behaviors associated with homelessness.
· Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment with both internal and external partners as well as independently.
· Strong group facilitation, mediation, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to provide crisis intervention and support.
· Strong knowledge of community resources and service networks.
· Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and good driving record.
Education and/or Experience:
· BA/BS degree in social work, human services, management or a related field.
· 7+ years of experience providing direct service and/or overseeing teams working with individuals who experience behavioral health issues, housing instability/homelessness, and economic insecurity.
· 4+ years in program management and supervisory experience.
Salary:$75,000 - $88,000/yr. DOQ
Due to the nature of this role and the need for onsite support and coverage, this role will be a primarily in-person role.
